In 2018 Mudsock Youth Football transitioned our 3rd Grade tackle league to USA Football's Rookie Tackle program. This program provides a transition from flag football to 11 v 11 tackle football and is modeled after the Olympic American Development Model (ADM). ADM is a 5-stage model that focuses on universal participation, age appropriate activities, multi-sport participation, positive participation experiences and quality coaching. Over the past two seasons we have received very positive feedback from both parents and coaches on the program and are excited to announce that for the 2020 season we will be transitioning our 4th graders to a Modified Tackle program. Here's what you can expect for your 3rd/4th grade athlete in our rookie/modified tackle program: 7v7 tackle football, players play all positions, modified field size, and structured playbooks allowing coaches to focus on fundamentals. 4th graders will also transition to taking a snap under center and line positions will start in a three-point stance in order to build on the Heads-Up Blocking techniques the kids learned in 3rd grade. Mudsock Youth Football has always prided itself on being at the forefront regarding player safety, training for our coaches and creating a positive experience for our athletes. Transitioning our 3rd grade tackle league to Rookie Tackle and 4th grade tackle is a natural evolution and ensures that we provide the best experience for our athletes and their parents.
